With Instagram, we also love showing our customers how to wear certain pieces in a way they might not have thought of. Stacking bangles is playful and creates quite the statement, here’s one of our gold and black looks we adore. These can be worn alone, or mixed and matched.

5 Tips on How to Wear Bangles

My favorite Summer accessories are bangles! These stackable bracelets come in endless designs, colors and materials which makes wearing them fun and helps complete your Summer look. The warm weather calls for short sleeves, tanks or tube tops therefore leaving your arms bare to be draped in bangles.

I often hear people who love the look of stacking bangles but they don’t know how to achieve the look themselves. There are no real rules to this style but here’s a few helpful tips on how we recommend to wear your bangles:

1. Only stack on one arm and leave the other bare or be bold and wear a chunky ring on the opposite hand. Stay away from bold earrings & necklaces with this look. Keep all your other jewelry simple & minimal.

2. Wear one eye catching bangle as the central point. If you don’t have a statement bangle add a watch as the focal point and have other bangles surrounding it.

3. Wear 4 to 6 bangles at a time for an everyday look. Add a few more for a more dramatic look . You should adjust the number depending on the size of bangles and your wrist. A full arm of bracelets gets uncomfortable so as tempting as it is don’t overdo it.

4. Stick with complimentary colors. You can either chose to stick to one color using different shades of it if you’d like or you can use colorful shades that compliment each other like coral and turquoise. When mixing different colors, it’s always good to throw in some silver and other neutral tones to balance out the colors.

5. Use different textures; mixing metals with leather, threaded cord or beaded bracelets. Stacking bangles does not mean you can only use traditional metal-based bracelets. Play around with beads like Shamballa bracelets or a leather strap to get a street-style look.

Most importantly, have fun with dressing up your arm with bangles!

Davos Collection

Our new Davos Collection at Ice is created with ceramic and stainless steel in chic designs. A few weeks ago I wrote about the chain-link jewelry trend and I’m excited that we have more styles in this new collection. These chain link bracelets and necklaces come in two-tone grey ceramic & black rhodium or grey ceramic & pink rhodium. Each style add an edgy yet feminine look to any outfit. Wear these pieces to dress up a casual ensemble.

Also in the Davos Collection you’ll find ceramic bangle bracelets that you can wear alone or stacked together. I personally recommend stacking them for a more dramatic look (as pictured right). These bangles are available in different colors such as navy, black and white set in different rhodium tones.

If you’re reading this and getting concerned about having ceramic jewelry… don’t be . I tested these beauties out and as long as you treat them with love & care as you would the rest of your fine jewelry you shouldn’t have any issues.

Natalie Getz Jewelry Selections

Natalie Getz is our latest Celebrity Guest Stylist at Ice. You may know her from ABC’s ‘The Bachelor – Season 13′ , where she competed for Jason Mesnick’s heart, and as the winner of ‘The Bachelor Pad – Season 1′. These days she’s keeping busy as a Fashion Stylist, writer, TV personality with a new series coming this Spring. Natalie partnered with Ice to choose a collection of her favorite jewelry pieces.

Growing up, I was always a bit of a tomboy, but absolutely loved fashion.  I never wore much jewelry, because it seemed as though the only jewelry offered was basic silver and gold. Now we have so many options in modern day jewelry and I am diving in with an interest in loud colors and artistic pieces like the ones in my Ice jewelry selections. I love the morganite and black diamond rose gold ring! (pictured right)

Cuff bracelets, bangles, beads and multi-colored jewelry are my style and I want to share some of my favorite pieces with you! The cuffs I have featured in my jewelry collection are of huge interest to me as they are such unique and artistic pieces.  They are original and stand out more than most cuffs.  The more cuffs and bangles around your wrists the better!

Cuff Bracelets

Don’t be afraid to wear casual jewelry with formal attire! If anything, it will show your original, playful side and express your personality beyond what you are wearing. Another huge trend I am a believer of is multi-colored jewelry. Reason being, you can wear the simplest of clothing and utilize colorful, playful jewelry as your statement piece to give your style a whole new look!

Multi-Colored Jewelry

I’m hoping you find the pieces I have featured in my Ice Jewelry Selections as helpful as I do when I’m having one of those, “I have nothing to wear” days.  Throw on a basic tee, skinny jeans and great pair of ankle boots and watch the outfit be taken to the next level by pairing it with some of these wonderful jewelry pieces!

Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Yasmin Gow’s Yoga-Chic Jewelry

Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by jewelry. Some of my fondest memories are of me trying on my grandmother’s incredible collection of rhinestones, rings, bracelets and necklaces. To this day, my grandmother has such style when it comes to accessorizing. I draw inspiration from her, as I too like to add unique piece of jewelry to otherwise simple outfits. This includes yoga apparel. As a full-time yoga teacher, I wear tights and a tank top everyday, but the sporty athletic look is not for me. I glam up my typical teaching ensemble with a tailored jacket, some bangles, a great necklace and/or a pair of earrings and I’m good to go from yoga class to dinner with friends without a wardrobe change. My ‘yoga-chic’ selection offers some choices for women who, like me, consider jewelry wearable art, but don’t want it to interfere with their daily comings and goings.

The pieces I pulled together are not only beautiful and unique, but also easy to wear.

Here are some of my favorites:

Diamond and Rose Gold Bird Pendant: (pictured right) This piece best encapsulates what I have come to love about yoga as method of self-discovery. In so many ways, yoga has led me to a point where I feel like a bird sitting on the ledge of an open window: indescribably excited about the freedom in front of me, but also a little nervous about letting go and taking flight.

Sterling Silver Beads and Purple Silk Cord Bracelet

Sterling Silver Beads and Orange Silk Cord Bracelet Faceted Sterling Silver Bead and Blue Silk Cord Bracelet

Lois Hill Silk Cord Bracelets: I chose several pieces from Lois Hill’s Jivasukha Collection. Not only is it yoga inspired, but her pieces are elegant and well made. I’m a big fan of these bracelets of sterling silver beads strung with colorful silk cord. I love that each bracelet has a different little charm on it as well. Personally, I would wear them all together, but they also look good separately. My favorite are the purple, orange and blue bracelets.

Multi-Gemstone Sterling Silver Bangle Set

Sterling silver gemstone bangles are also beautiful. They go with everything and they have such a pleasing sound to them. I have bangles on both wrists, so I would probably wear three of these on one wrist and two on the other, but of course, this set also looks great stacked together.

Studs: The color of the pink topaz studs is unbelievable. They are truly enchanting. Topaz happens to also be my birthstone in November, so I have a special affinity towards it, and pink topaz is really special. But if pink isn’t your color, I also selected a pair of square diamond studs, which I think are pretty cool, as well as these classic solitaire diamond stud earrings. (I should add here that Ice only sells conflict-free diamonds and sources its diamonds from vendors that comply with the Kimberly Process.)

Anne Hathaway Looking Classy in Lace

At the London premiere of One Day, Anne Hathaway pulled off yet another classic look in a lace capsleeve Alexander McQueen dress. It can be challenging to accessorize lace and most tend to go the safe route with pearls. Which looks great of course but I love Anne’s choice of using bold bangles to compliment her look.

She used bangles in gold hues which also matched nicely with her McQueen tan pumps and ivory & gold clutch. Her diamond stud earrings helped add a little sparkle to the look. Anne’s studs are quite large, so if you’re not ready to make the financial plunge to diamonds you can always replicate the look with CZs.

I have to say, Anne always manages to put together classy looks which is a nice change to see in such a young actress. Props to you Anne!

Have you seen her new movie One Day? We’ve put together a collection of jewelry inspired by the movie for you to check out AND it’s 20% off!

Statement Bracelets To Go With Your LBD

As we all know a little black dress is a must-have in your closet. Even if you only have one or two LBDs the trick to changing up the look for each occasion is with your accessories. Often times, people think of their LBD as safe or boring. Ladies, wearing all black is not boring, it’s the prefect opportunity to have fun with your look. Let your accessories stand out! I love putting on one main statement piece and going a little simpler on the rest of the accessories. A great statement piece is this new black & white diamond cuff bracelet from Ice.

1/4 Carat Black & White Diamond Wide Cuff

As soon as I saw these new bracelets at Ice I knew they would be the perfect accessory for a LBD. Of course you can wear them with other outfits but I can’t help but imagine how gorgeous they would look in all black on a nice evening out or a fancy schmancy party. This Diamond Heart Bangle will add a nice touch of romance and class to your outfit – sure to grab the attention of many.

Friends With Benefits in Red

One of the movies I’ve been excited to see is Friends With Benefits staring the stunning Mila Kunis and the gorgeous Justin Timberlake. Remember when we saw them present an award at the Oscars together? During our Oscar Twitter Party so many of you tweeted that those two should hurry up and get together – they would make such a gorgeous couple! Anyways…back on track…the movie comes out this Friday but the New York premiere was Monday night with all the movie’s stars walking the red carpet.

The color red was the highlight of the night worn by Mila Kunis, the hilarious and adorable Emma Stone and the Entourage’s Emmanuelle Chriqui. Both Mila and Emma opted to pairing the vibrant color with yellow gold jewelry. This really compliments the color red nicely for a subtle classy look. Mila also accessorized with long dangle earrings and kept her neck bare to not over do it. If you’re looking to grab more attention go with white gold or silver like Emmanuelle did by stacked silver bangles.

Are you planning on seeing Friends With Benefits?

Mom and Me Collection

Matching Bangles for you & your little one

As kids we always looked up to adults, wanting to be just like them. We played mommy and daddy, followed our parents around copying everything they did. The first thing my nieces do when they come over is go straight to my room to dress up in my high heels, purses and especially my jewelry. This is why I absolutely LOVE one of our newest collections at Ice.com…the Mom and Me Collection!

You can get a matching bangle bracelet for both you and your daughter. They come in a few different colors like red, white and blue where you can mix and match or get the same color for the ultimate Mom and Me look.

You don’t have to be a Mommy to enjoy this collection either. You can purchase them for yourself, your nieces or just your daughters as a cute sister’s bracelet. I’m definitely going to get some matching bangles for myself and my nieces. :)

What do you think of this idea of matching adult and children’s jewelry?

Mix & Match Bangles Like Blake

The MTV Movie Awards were held Sunday night and there were many stars to gush over on the red carpet. Always a stand out was Gossip Girl star Blake Lively in a cobalt blue Michael Kors dress and purple suede pumps. What made our eyes sparkle was the rainbow of bangles on her arm.

Bangles are so hot right now but some are still hesitant to be playful them and mix and match. Often times you see all gold sets or all silver and other same-tone sets but Blake proves that you can have fun with your bangles and wear an array of colors together.

She paired a variety of colored diamond bangles in yellow, pink, blue and silver. Seeing all the colors together definitely got me thinking I should start wearing my multi-color bangles together. Will you try this look?
