We love big, bold gems. There are few funkier places for them than on a great ring. IceGrrl has been highlighting the celebrity trend she’s dubbed “bling finger” on Sparkle Like The Stars and it’s been noticed in other places as well.

At the tender age of 23, Lindsay Avner underwent a double mastectomy. She has since turned this difficult part of her life into a nonprofit, Bright Pink, which is doing huge things to end breast cancer.

Bright Pink has partnered with several retail outlets, including Ice.com, and they will receive “15 percent of proceeds from nine pink pieces this month, including sets of one-carat pink sapphire and white gold hoop earrings ($195).

“From a charity perspective, it’s huge,” says Avner. “We have our name blasted all around and get to remind people this is the month to do your self-exams and talk about breast health.” “
